Putty Pads are water-based sealants that reduce sound transmissions in walls and partition systems. Soft and pliable, they are easy to install by hand packing into openings. The pads are conveniently sized to fit a typical 1-1/2” deep 4S box with no cutting or piecing required. Their primary function is to achieve and maintain the system design’s specific STC (Sound Transmission Class) value.

Due to their aggressive adhesion, Putty Pads adhere firmly to wood or metal studs, concrete, gypsum board, and most other building substrates. They are suitable for use with all common construction materials, cable jacketing, and pipes and remain soft and easy to reuse or retrofit.
